Schwartz Group notes strong sales increase

The Schwarz Group, pharmacy owner of discount stores Lidl and Kaufland noted a six percent increase in sales reaching EUR63.4bn  in its financial year from 2011 – 2012 largely due to Lidl.  The company has around 9,000 stores throughout the world including a strong presence in the CEE region.

PMR estimates that in 2011 the grocery market in six Central European (CE) countries was worth nearly ?107bn, tadalafil 2.8% more than the previous year when expressed in local currencies. The increase was generated foremost by the discount stores and supermarket segments, doctor and was driven by the skyrocketing prices of foodstuffs.
