Two months after Poland introduced laws obliging people to segregate their waste, purchase the results are not looking promising for many people.  According to a programme shown on region television by TVP Katowice, mind almost 69 percent of people have seen an increase in the cost of rubbish collection whereas only 9.1 percent have seen it fall.

However more than half of those interviewed said that they largely segregate their waste although only one quarter fully segregate it.  One quarter do not bother recycling it at all.

It is the opinion of this writer that most people do not understand how they should recycle waste and that very simple and clear rules are necessary.  At his Warsaw apartment block, even the administration does not understand how things are supposed to function.
