5 Oct 2012

At Taropak 2012, Suedpack Polska has two good reasons to celebrate: The subsidiary of Suedpack Europe AG has just completed its 15th year in the Polish market, and has been awarded the Gold Medal of Poznań International Fair (MTP) for one of its packaging solutions. The award-winning SteamSolution and many other innovations in film packaging will be presented at booth 67 in hall 3 from 8-11 October.

‘We have participated in Taropak from the very beginning. 2012 is a very special edition for Suedpack Polska, as we celebrate our 15th anniversary in Poland. This anniversary underscores our success both in the Polish and in the global market,’ said Stanislaw Herich, from Suedpack Polska. During the past 15 years, the subsidiary of Suedpack Europe AG has completed many successful projects. ‘We have set new standards in packaging material, which have increased the quality of our customers’ end products,’ Mr. Herich emphasized. ‘Taropak is the perfect event for us to further develop the good relationship with our existing customers and to have interesting conversations with potential clients.’

Award-winning SteamSolution

At booth 67, Suedpack presents SteamSolution, one of the winners of the Gold Medal from Poznań International Fair. SteamSolution is used for the packaging of Stimeria convenience products, such as risotto, noodles and rice dishes. The novelty of Suedpack’s SteamSolution is its film-based steam cooking system for the microwave. The products maintain all vitamins, nutrition ingredients and their original flavor. For Stimeria consumers, handling the product is particularly easy: The packaging is heated in the microwave for a few minutes without opening. The heat development inside the packaging produces both steam and pressure, which provide a healthy meal in next to no time.

Family run company

For Suedpack, customers come first in all business activities. The family-run company with headquarters in Southern Germany draws on many years of experience and high professionalism in food technology. This makes it possible to develop packaging solutions tailored to each customer’s requirements. Trade fair highlights include the presentation of the in-house development centre for pre-testing new products and their applications. Customers can try out the respective products at the Suedpack headquarters in Ochsenhausen without having to interrupt their production processes.

Convenience for all requirements

New films and packaging concepts offer highest convenience for modern cooking. For example, film-based steam solutions and film suited for microwave usage. Reclosable packaging solutions are another on-going trend. Suedpack was one of the first companies to develop a resealable system. With Multipeel, the packaging specialist still offers one of the market-leading solutions. One version of this solution, Multipeel Flow Wrap, was especially developed for the application of the reclosure on tubular bags.

Process optimisation and sustainability

By continuously investing in the latest technologies, Suedpack ensures its customers highest quality and reliability. Many of Suedpack’s research and development activities are aimed at optimizing processes and increasing the sustainability of its packaging solutions. The use of high-quality composites ensures the reduction of resources. Depending on the customers’ requirements, Suedpack creates packaging solutions which help them optimise their processes.

Brilliant printing results

At point of sale, first impressions count. Package printing must give the product a unique and high-quality appearance. Suedpack uses state-of-the-art technologies and offers comprehensive services in flexographic and rotogravure printing. In-house experts assist customers in all printing-related issues, such as choice of the suitable printing method and accomplishment of the printing process. “At Suedpack, all services are available from a single source. This corporate philosophy applies to all our fields of activity – and will surely be the topic of many interesting discussions at Taropak 2012,” Mr. Herich concludes.

The Suedpack packaging group is based in Ochsenhausen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. The family-owned business was founded in 1964 by Alfred Remmele and now has a total of 22 sales offices and sites. Production focuses on flexible plastic laminates, vacuum bags and rigid films. Flexographic and rotogravure printing methods are used.
