Tyskie using football theme in limited edition packaging
Tyskie is the latest beer producer to be using the Euro 2012 tournament to promote its products. So whilst Carlsberg is paying for the sponsorship, sovaldi sale Tyskie has got three football legends on its team : Zbigniew Boniek, seek Luis Figo and Marco van Basten. Boniek is perhaps the best known Polish footballer of all time and that is a tough act to compete with for the official sponsor who will be allowed to put the UEFA logo on its packaging to compete with the free football themed glass Tyskie are giving in their seven pack (there is a new one).
Tyskie are also promoting the ?fifth stadium? which is where most of us will be watching the football. In Poland the stadiums are in Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan and Wroclaw whilst the Ukraine?s four is Kiev, Donetsk, Lviv and Kharkov. Fabio Capello, the former England manager chose to base his team in Krakow – possibly in the hope that one of the other Polish stadiums may not come through on time. Basing the team over 1,000km from where they will be playing in Donetsk is possibly either a game strategy or getting the excuse for failure set up well in advance. However I digress from the theme of Tyskie?s packaging and that of the fifth stadium which is not the one in Krakow Capello may have thought was about to be used but the one you have at home to watch programmes on! Or, as Tyskie puts it, anywhere you can watch the matches.
The Tyskie packaging is a limited edition and the free gift will encourage purchases, particularly as there appear to be three different types. Carlsberg may have to come up with something better than the tournament logo if it wants to cash in on sales from fans!
